Morrissey's influence and musical legacy are undeniable. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in British pop and one of the greatest lyricists of his generation. Morrissey has released 13 solo studio albums, all of which reached the top 10 in the British charts, including three number 1 albums, and has won an Ivor Novello Award for his outstanding contribution to British music. Morrissey recently received the 2024 Social Vanguard Award in recognition of his ‘outstanding commitment and dedication to animal rights’.

As lead singer of The Smiths, he left an indelible mark on music history with just four albums. As a solo artist, he has established a sound that continues to resonate today, making him one of the most celebrated voices of the last four decades. When The Smiths' debut single, ‘Hand In Glove,’ was first released, it changed the musical landscape forever and ushered in a rich catalogue of songs, including anthems such as ‘This Charming Man,’ ‘How Soon Is Now?’ and ‘There Is A Light That Never Goes Out.’ When Morrissey embarked on his solo career, his string of iconic and influential songs continued, including ‘Suedehead,’ ‘Everyday Is Like Sunday,’ ‘Irish Blood, English Heart,’ ‘First of the Gang to Die,’ and many, many more.
