Soul Christmas mit Jan SEVEN Dettwyler & The Kingdom Choir
Following enormous interest and great anticipation for the premiere of Soulchristmas 2025, one thing is already certain: the festive soul and gospel concert will continue. In 2026, Soulchristmas will return with two shows at The Hall Zurich.

With Soulchristmas, Swiss musician Jan SEVEN Dettwyler has created a format that combines the festive season with the energy, depth and passion of soul music. For him, artists such as Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Nat King Cole and Diana Krall are as much a part of Christmas as candlelight and the scent of pine trees. He has often incorporated soul classics into his concerts, and each time the response has been so great that the idea of an entire evening dedicated to this music was born.

For Soulchristmas, Jan SEVEN is once again joining forces with the legendary The Kingdom Choir from England, the gospel choir that became world famous with its moving rendition of ‘Stand by Me’ at Meghan and Harry's wedding.

Together, they bring the most beautiful soul and gospel classics of the Christmas season to the stage – including ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’, ‘The First Noel’, ‘I'll Be Home for Christmas’ and ‘Hark! The Herald Angels Sing’. The songs are performed in new, soulful arrangements that uniquely combine music, emotion and festive spirit.

Soulchristmas is an evening full of warmth, energy and musical magic – an experience that brings the Christmas spirit to life and sends the audience home with a smile on their faces.
