The upcoming performances are another highlight in what has been a groundbreaking year for Top, who is nominated for five awards at the 59th annual CMA Awards – Album of the Year (Cold Beer & Country Music), Vocalist of the Year, Single of the Year (“I Never Lie”), Song of the Year (“I Never Lie”) and New Artist of the Year – and last month released his second album, Ain't In It For My Health, via Leo33.
The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Current Country Albums chart and No. 11 on the Billboard 200, garnering more than 30 million streams worldwide in its first week. Top, who continues to receive critical acclaim, recently spoke with Jon Caramanica for a profile in The New York Times, who praises “Top's commitment to the form as flawless”: “A high-wire act that is so aesthetically faithful and full of theatrical glee that he almost winks, combining a sense of history and play.”
Ain't In It For My Health follows his groundbreaking debut album Cold Beer & Country Music from last year and comes shortly after Top scored his first No. 1 hit on the country radio charts with “I Never Lie.” Top was also featured in Variety magazine's 2025 Young Hollywood Impact Report, named ACM New Male Artist of the Year 2025, performed “I Never Lie” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, was called “the future of country music” by Billboard, was nominated for New Artist of the Year at the 58th annual CMA Awards, and released Me & Billy, a three-song EP featuring two-time Grammy winner Billy Strings.
