For the first time in two years, ZZ Top is going on a European tour. The famous ‘Little Ol' Band From Texas’ will play 23 concerts in 13 countries over the course of five weeks, starting next summer in Tartu, Estonia. The legendary trio – Billy F Gibbons, Elwood Francis and Frank Beard – will then take to the stage in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Czechia, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Switzerland and France, before ending the tour in mid to late July with several concerts in Spain. The tour will take them to festival-goers in several countries as well as traditional concert arenas and stadiums, including a bullring in Murcia, Spain.
Billy F Gibbons commented: "We love playing to European audiences because they are among the most energetic and enthusiastic we have experienced in the last five decades. We look forward to bringing ‘The Big One!’ to the continent, where we're sure to really turn it up and rock. We expect direct communication, as there are no language barriers when it comes to rocking."
ZZ Top, a rock legend, looks back on a history that dates back to the last day of 1969, when the band made its public debut at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Beaumont, Texas, shortly thereafter. Over the years, ZZ Top has sold more than 60 million albums worldwide. Their catalogue includes four RIAA Gold albums, six Platinum albums and one album, Eliminator, which has been certified Diamond for more than 10 million copies sold. In addition, they have had eight Top 40 singles, two Platinum video compilations and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 21 years ago by Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones.
