Bad Omens
Hardly any other band has become such a huge phenomenon in recent years as Bad Omens. Founded in 2015 as a metalcore band in Richmond, Virginia, the band led by singer Noah Sebastian has set the standard for modern alternative metal with its strong industrial influences and emotionally charged, catchy sound. With their third album, ‘The Death of Piece of Mind,’ which earned them the Heavy Music Award for Best Album in 2023, the band finally broke through in 2022. The platinum-certified song ‘Just Pretend’ as well as the title track ‘The Death of Piece of Mind’ and ‘Like A Villain’ became the biggest hits for the American band, which has been scaling up its success with each new release since 2015. In December, the band will come to Zurich, Nuremberg, Berlin, Hamburg and Oberhausen with support from Bilmuri and The Ghost Inside.

Bad Omens was founded in 2015 by singer Noah Sebastian, bassist Vincent Riquier (until 2018), guitarist Joakim Karlsson, Nicholas Ruffilo (the band's bassist since 2018) and drummer Nick Folio, and was signed by Sumerian Records after the release of their first demo. The band enjoyed great success with their debut album ‘Bad Omens’ with songs such as ‘The Worst In Me’, ‘Exit Wounds’ and ‘Glass Houses’ and impressed audiences on subsequent tours with their aggressive and raw metalcore sound. In 2019, they released their second album, ‘Finding God Before God Finds Me’, which clearly follows on from their debut with fan favourites such as ‘Careful What You Wish For’ and ‘Dethrone’. The deluxe version of the album followed in 2020, revealing further hits with the previously released singles ‘Never Know’ and ‘Limits’. After Bad Omens had to cancel their US headline tour due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they focused on their third album. ‘The Death of Piece of Mind’ was released in 2022 and marked their definitive breakthrough to the international forefront of modern metalcore with songs such as the title track, ‘Just Pretend’, ‘Like A Villain’ and ‘Nowhere to Go’, thanks to several viral successes on TikTok. To date, the album has generated more than 1.2 billion streams on Spotify alone. In 2024, ‘Concrete Jungle [The OST]’ was released, on which Bad Omens collaborated with Poppy, HEALTH, ERRA, Thousand Below and others.

In 2025, Bad Omens are much more than just a successful metalcore band. They are a globally celebrated phenomenon that explores the realms of their own emotions with a unique sound and sets no limits for themselves. On their current single, ‘Specter,’ Bad Omens once again devote themselves to dark sounds, which are drawn even deeper into the industrial sound in an emotional and atmospheric ballad. The impact a new album will have can only be imagined at this point. However, the fact that Bad Omens are going on an arena tour in December is already an indicator of the league the band has long since played in.
