Born in Atlanta, raised in Lagos. Davidoembodies the tale of a man destined to shine. Since his breakthrough with Dami Duro – on his debut album Omo Baba Olowo (2012) – he has proven time and time again that he doesn’t just participate, he dominates.
Whether he works with greats like Tiwa Savage, Nicki Minaj and Nas, or sings along to the FIFA 2022 anthem Hayya Hayya (Better Together), he always proves to be bigger than boundaries. Davido is not only a hit machine, but also a cultural ambassador: in 2021 he was included in Time’s 100 Next List.
He was the youngest African artist to sell out the O2 Arena in London, but his influence extends beyond music alone. Davido is also actively committed to human rights and the youth of Africa.
