IANUA Festival - A Huge Staff Party

Ianua Festival - open doors and discover exciting, new and surprising things at The Hall
With its range of rooms THE HALL was the ideal location for the IANUA Festival. The guests were able to immerse themselves in a fantasy world and embark on a voyage of discovery in the rooms.

A huge staff party was held at THE HALL (formerly Samsung Hall), in February 2020. The agency Zeitpol transformed the entire location into one big festival – the IANUA Festival. Ianua, the Latin word for doors, was the underlying theme of the evening. Guests were invited to open doors and discover exciting, new and surprising things. The festival did justice to the diversity among the guests and everyone found their place where they felt comfortable at this event.

Welcomed by elves, woodland spirits, will-o'-the-wisps and nymphs, the 4,000 or so employees immersed themselves in a world of fantasy over the course of two days. After the reception in the Foyer Hall, three elves served a selection of canapés and drinks from moving tables and then sent the guests on their discovery tour.

The foyer, as the hub of the festival, offered access to all areas and showcased an array of entertaining acts on one of the five B-stages: acapella band, pianist, drummers and an artist. Unique memories were captured in the photo booth. The gallery was entirely under the heel of the barista and served as a cafeteria – the smell of fresh coffee filled the air...

A large street-food-festival setting with American, Asian, Arabic, Italian and Swiss delicacies awaited the guests in the Hall. Different seating arrangements set at different heights made it easier for the partygoers to chat to one another. On stage there was a balcony for the DJs. Acts like the star juggler and the drummers provided entertainment. All eyes were also on the aerial acrobat on the side stage.

A cosy atmosphere and a fabulous soundscape were offered to the guests in the Foyer Balcony. Furnished as a living room with sofas and cosy wooden elements it was perfect for listening to the melodies of the cellist. Those who wanted to get stuck in and be creative themselves could stop by Pinsel & Co. on the way in the Foyer Loft and create a work of art.

Latin American rhythms lured you further into the Loft where a Cuban band was playing on stage. Chilli con carne/soya, based on the recipe of “El Jefe” was served. Those who did not fancy taking a breather on the grandstand or on the colourful beanbags could cool off on the Loft Terrace, where they were greeted by winter magic in the form of a sofa landscape with cushions and furs, wood torches, mulled wine, roasted chestnuts and a raclette stand.

Hosts saw the evening through and reported what was happening in front of and behind the scenes through “Radio IAUNA”. This meant that guests could see what was happening at the same time in the other rooms on all THE HALL screens.

The Club in the basement opened its doors and bar at 10 p.m., and guests danced to the music put on by DJs well into the night.
